The Icon Defense Uppers are made from MIL-SPEC 7075-T6 forgings, our machining leaves no die seams or flash marks on the receivers. We all also hold our lugs to a .001” tolerance for the best fitment in the industry. Our experience and background in the aerospace industry along with twenty years in the firearms industry helps to ensure our parts are dimensionally accurate and of the highest quality.

We got to play with the Icon Defense hand guard at Shot Show and was impressed. The design is simple, classic, and clean. At Shot Show, I was concerned the fitment was too tight, but when we got our first order in, we were so happy with how the Upper and Lower fit together. The tolerance is literally perfect with zero play, but not so tight you can’t break the weapon down for maintenance. I didn’t notice until we received our first order how nice the finish is. The coatings ICON uses are so nice. Our first custom build is nearly complete and can’t wait to run it with the Upper, Lower, Hand Guard, and especially that BCG!
