Icon Defense has designed and developed the most rigid and robust hand-guard attachment system in the world! Our revolutionary, patent pending design uses three independent wedges that interface with the angular grooves in our proprietary barrel nut. This system clamps the rail onto the barrel nut with extreme force and precision, while also driving the hand guard rearward towards the upper receiver. The Drive Lock system provides the least amount of barrel-to-handguard flex while making it virtually impossible to slide forward off the barrel nut, ensuring your zero is maintained in the most abusive environments. When you’re looking for the most rigid and precise hand guard locking system available, the DRIVE LOCK hand guard locking system is your solution.

This hand guard is a tank, very well engineered and a very solid hand guard. The lock up system is simple but effective and there is no flex in the rail once it is mounted like a lot of other handguards. Great Job!

This just like the Sons of Liberty M89 handgaurd! I found out Icon Defense actually designed those rails for Sons! These are awesome because they come standard with a Titanium barrel nut. Awesome work guys. I’ll be buying more.

We got to play with the Icon Defense hand guard at Shot Show and was impressed. I’m always looking for that simple design that has some extra functionality to it. The ergo is great with the slight indent up top. I didn’t notice until we received our first order how nice the finish is. The coatings ICON uses are so nice. The lockup is simple and effective as well. Our first custom build is nearly complete and can’t wait to run it with the UPPER, LOWER, and especially that BCG!

Got an 11.8” version for my dedicated suppressed 12.5” middy monobloc SBR build on a Mega Arms billet receiver set and couldn’t be happier with it. Perfect fit & finish, industry leading rigidity ideal for anyone running LAM’s or clip on optical systems, and strikes the perfect balance of strength/weight/ergonomics.
